Regenerative medicine is concerned with restoring the function of dysfunctional cells, tissue or organs through either stimulation of the body's own regeneration and repair processes (induced autoregeneration) or biological substitutes in the form of living cells or tissue specially grown in a lab (tissue engineering).
COREMED is active in the area of medical research and development, positioned at the interface between medicine and technology and highly oriented to the user and long-term use for society.
A new impetus in medical research and development was given by the establishment of COREMED (Center for Regenerative Medicine and Precision Medicine), which was set up by JOANNEUM RESEARCH Forschungsgesellschaft mbH and the Medical University of Graz.
