The Division of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery offers the complete range of services in its specialty areas including hand surgery and burn surgery. Our goal is to reconstruct or improve limited body functions or shapes lost in accidents or other required surgical interventions (e.g., for cancer treatment). In some areas (complex hand surgery, burn surgery and gender reassignment surgeries), we are responsible for plastic surgery treatment for the entire population of Styria and even throughout Austria.
We are a division that is active in research, thereby guaranteeing treatment of our patients according to the latest scientific findings. Advances in the field of plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery are made based on continuous research and education in this discipline. The division engages in the entire range of university research (from basic to clinical).
